The Bantry Bay Lions Club presented another batch of “Cuddly Lions” to
the Ambulance Services group in Bantry on August 21. These Cuddly Lions
will be given to children who are transported to hospital in an ambulance to
help ease their stress.

This is the sixth year of this programme which has
continued due to the generous sponsorship of Ciaran Hurley’s Garage in
Bantry. Much appreciation must also go to Tanja and Mike Goodall of
Stowaway Crafts & Toys who supply the toy lions at a discount and Martin
McCarthy of Designs and Signs who provides the lion’s jacket at cost and
the Lions logo free of charge.

Pictured presenting the cuddly lions are (from
left to right) Lions Mike Dunning and Ramor Craigie, Tanja Goodall ,
Martin Murray (Paramedic Supervisor), Peter Marren (Paramedic),  Nora
Lynch (Lions President) and Lions Marion Rouse, Joan O’Donovan and
Tony Roberts.

The Bantry Bay Lions would like to say a huge thank you to
everyone for keeping this important programme alive.
