National School Santa Land Fun Day

Several Lions set up the Paintball Arcade for another year in the 'Our Lady of Mercy National school' in Bantry.

This proved very popular with the children and parents, and we managed to raise €183 for the Lions and €183 for the national school.

Another great success

Special mention and thanks to Sandy and the RAWR charity shop who provided many cuddly toys for prizes.

Lions Peace Poster Competition

Submitted by bbl_admin on Mon, 10/12/2018 - 14:39

The Lions Peace Poster Competition is run this year with 'Kindness Matters' as the theme.

We had entries from 9 schools who all attended the presentation in the West Lodge Hotel on 10th November.

We were fortunate to get the local artist Hammond Journeaux to be the Judge for  us. She very kindly spent time talking to the audience about all the entries, one by one, then revealing the overall winner.

St Patrick's Day Parade

Well we had a great if somewhat wet day for the Parade. Seven Lions marched round the town, enjoying the flags and cheers of the many who braved the elements.

Well Done Bantry!!!
