The Bantry Bay Lions held their annual food appeal in Bantry on December 14, 15 and 16.
Non-perishable food items and money were donated to give a total value of €2,650.56, a superb response from the community.
As a result, 56 food hampers were delivered by the Lions Club to the Saint Vincent De Paul organization for distribution to needy families in the local community.
Special thanks to Jim O’Keeffe at SuperValu and to Eamonn Maginer and all the excellent SuperValu staff for their help.

Another great success
Special mention and thanks to Sandy and the RAWR charity shop who provided many cuddly toys for prizes.

We were fortunate to get the local artist Hammond Journeaux to be the Judge for us. She very kindly spent time talking to the audience about all the entries, one by one, then revealing the overall winner.
