The Bantry Bay Lions held their annual food appeal at the new SuperValu store in Bantry on December 15, 16 and 17. Non-perishable food items and money were donated to give a total value of €1,886.34, a superb response from the community.

As a result, 36 food hampers were delivered by the Lions Club to the Saint Vincent De Paul organization for distribution to needy families in the local community. Special thanks to Jim O’Keeffe at SuperValu and to Eamonn Maginer and all the excellent SuperValu staff for their help.
