We have reintroduced the Tail Twister back into the Club, but with a 'twist'. We have two of them, so watch out for some fun! Debbie Harvey & Meg Wilson have taken up the challenge. Here is what they propose to do.

Nora's team did a wonderful job to prepare a huge spread which was enjoyed by a good many Lions and friends.
This is a reminder that, effective July 1, 2017, we are consolidating new club charter fees and new member fees into a single $35 entrance fee. This fee consolidation and increase will allow us to increase member benefits, improve the member experience, and simplify the new member and club enrollment processes.
The founding of Lions Clubs International, one hundred years ago, is celebrated on An Post’s new international postage stamp.
This event took place at the Clayton Hotel, Lapps Quay, Cork on Saturday 15th July 2017. There was be a pre-dinner reception and four course dinner including wine and dancing. The City Hall lit up in Lions Colours to complement the celebrations.
We have been able to collect a good few spectacles in recent months. This rather splendid pile will be sent off to help those in need in the very near future. Here can be seen several Club Members with the collected specs.
At our last meeting on Thursday 11th May we were pleased to welcome Three New Lions. I think this brings the total of new members this Lions Year to Eight!!

The Lions Clubs Centenary Stamp is to be issued on 1st June 2017.
Lions Clubs International was founded in Chicago in 2017 by a group of philanthropic business people headed by Melvin Jones. In 1920 the Lions clubs Organisation became international when the first club was established in Canada. Today, Lions Clubs operate in more than 200 countries with a membership of 1.4 million.
The Town Collection on 21st April 2017 in Bantry raised €688.59 for Lions Charities.
